The fourth-generation Prius (2016-2022) used Toyota’s New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform and achieved EPA ratings of up to 56 combined mpg. Meanwhile, the RAV4 became Toyota’s signature hybrid SUV with huge worldwide sales. Its geometric shapes, sleek lines, sculpted surfaces, and distinctive grille balanced elegance with sportiness.

In 2020, Toyota refreshed the design of its logo, keeping the iconic overlapping ovals but modernizing it for a digital-first aesthetic. Recent models demonstrate Toyota’s impressive uses of new technology while they continue to prioritize reliability and function. Built on the TNGA-C platform, the fifth-generation Prius (2023-present) offers a 2.0L engine producing up to 196 horsepower in all-wheel-drive configuration. Toyota is also developing partnerships with Xiaomi for AIoT ecosystem integration, Huawei for HarmonyOS 5.0 infotainment systems, and Momenta for intelligent driving systems, demonstrating Toyota’s ongoing commitment to balancing traditional values with new technology.
